The Institute for Quantum Science and Technology (IQST) and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Calgary invite applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in Quantum Technology, specializing in micro- and nanofabricated quantum circuits. This role is affiliated with the Integrated Hybrid Quantum Circuits group, offering access to advanced quantum device fabrication and measurement facilities.
The successful candidate will engage in the development, fabrication, and experimental characterization of next-generation quantum circuits, including superconducting microwave devices, hybrid quantum interfaces, and photonic structures for applications in quantum communication, sensing, and computation.
Requirements
– Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, with proven expertise in experimental quantum science or engineering.
– Strong interest in interdisciplinary research and innovation.
– Experience in design and fabrication of superconducting and photonic quantum circuits.
– Proficiency in cryogenic measurement and characterization of quantum devices.
– Skills in data analysis and theoretical modeling of quantum device performance.
– Ability to mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
– Experience in preparing manuscripts and presentations for journals and conferences.
