Job summary

CHEO Research Institute in Ottawa is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy. The role focuses on γδ T cells and NK cells, using high‑dimensional flow cytometry, multi‑omics, and human samples with in vivo models.

You will design and execute experiments, analyze data, publish, and contribute to grant applications while mentoring students in a collaborative environment. Eligible to work in Canada; on‑site with occasional remote work.

Qualifications

  • PhD in immunology or related field with strong immunology and immune cell biology background.
  • Extensive experience with sterile cell culture techniques and primary immune cells.
  • Experience processing and working with human biological samples.
  • Strong experimental design, data analysis and scientific interpretation skills.
  • Ability to communicate scientific concepts clearly in presentations and writing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize and execute experiments to address key objectives and milestones.
  • Develop strategies using high‑dimensional flow cytometry, multi‑omics and molecular techniques.
  • Process and analyze human biological samples according to ethical and biosafety requirements.
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate complex biological datasets.
  • Generate publication‑quality figures, presentations and reports.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure laboratory compliance.
  • Independently manage research projects and weekly experimental plans.
  • Present findings at meetings and conferences; contribute to manuscripts and grants.
