Based in the Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) facility, the Post Shipment Service Specialist will report to the Quality Manager. They will be responsible for collaboration with all departments to ensure warranty and post shipment services are executed following Powell’s procedures. This role will be responsible to effectively communicate with customers regarding post shipment support and provide detailed insight to the organization on the ongoings of post shipment support including technical details, financial details and customer relations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Management and coordination of product returns, warranty and other claims providing first line support
  • Coordination of supplier recall and safety notices
  • Provide and coordinate product warnings and safety notices
  • Maintain and provide warranty reporting for operational excellence
  • Field and managing customer calls
  • Develop cost effective solutions
  • Triage customer issues and determine root cause
  • Coordinate internal & external support as required
  • Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with company agents and customers
  • Responsible for achieving high level of customer satisfaction
  • Effectively utilize communication methods and collaboration tools
  • Ensure appropriate records/databases/systems are maintained
  • Produce & maintain archive information as required
  • Prioritization, control and coordination of work
  • Develop design solutions, modify drawings and coordinate internal execution for field fit up issues
  • Site visits in support of post shipment service activities and investigations
  • Effective and regular communication between department members is crucial.

Qualifications

  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Post-Secondary Education with relevance to Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
  • Project Management Certificate or Equivalent

Working Conditions

Temperature controlled working environment. Some outside activities may be required. This position may travel out-of-town to attend customer sites, other Powell facilities, training and meetings. Must wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, steel toe boots/shoes) when required.

Physical Requirements

  • Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs
  • Standing, walking, and speaking for long periods of time
  • Typing, punching or applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm
