Job description

The Post Production Producer coordinates post-production projects across Klick's established in-house video team and growing freelance network. Reporting to video team leadership, this role partners with agency producers, creatives, and project managers to assess production needs, develop estimates, assign talent, and support delivery. The role requires a strong understanding of post-production craft, creative quality, and resource management to balance project requirements, budgets, timelines, and team capacity while maintaining trusted agency relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Assess incoming production requests, clarify creative briefs, deliverables, timelines, and technical requirements, and recommend editors, animators, and AI production talent based on project needs, expertise, working styles, and availability.

  • Develop production estimates covering talent hours and costs, collaborating with agency producers to align staffing recommendations, budgets, scope, and delivery timelines.

  • Coordinate assignments, schedules, and resources across in-house teams and freelancers, monitoring project progress, anticipating challenges, and partnering with craft leadership to address quality concerns, revisions, or resource adjustments.

  • Manage communication and feedback between production teams, agency partners, and craft leaders, consolidating direction, resolving conflicting priorities, and communicating changes to support efficient delivery and strong creative outcomes.

  • Build and maintain a reliable freelance talent network through sourcing, vetting, rate discussions, booking, onboarding, and performance feedback, while strengthening collaborative relationships and balancing production demands with team capacity.

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production, including coordinating post-production projects within an agency, in-house video team, post-production studio, or comparable environment, with responsibility for assignments, estimates, schedules, and delivery.

  • Strong understanding of editorial, animation, and finishing workflows, with demonstrated ability to assess creative quality, storytelling, pacing, design, and execution against project briefs and production standards.

  • Experience matching editors, animators, and other post-production specialists to project requirements, considering technical expertise, creative strengths, working styles, availability, and team dynamics.

  • Experience developing production estimates, managing talent costs and schedules, and adjusting resource plans across multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.

  • Experience sourcing, vetting, booking, and maintaining freelance production talent relationships, including rate discussions, onboarding, and performance feedback.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating creative feedback, communicating with agency stakeholders and craft leadership, resolving production challenges, and making independent decisions while escalating issues requiring specialist or leadership input.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.

  • Previous hands-on experience in editing, animation, or another post-production discipline, demonstrated through completed projects or a portfolio.

  • Experience supporting agency pitches or time-sensitive creative projects with evolving briefs, schedules, and production requirements.

  • Familiarity with generative AI production tools and workflows, including their application to video, animation, or other post-production deliverables.
