Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant in Oyen, Alberta to provide counter services with a customer-focused approach. You will represent Canada Post and assist customers with products, services and forms.

The ideal candidate resides in the community, is English-speaking, with high school or equivalent, retail experience, cash handling, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb. On-call flexibility required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or provincial equivalency
• Experience in retail/service environment with sales and cash transactions
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
• Physically able to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push/pull boxes, stand long periods
• Flexibility for temporary, on-call work

Qualifications

• High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
• Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
