Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant to deliver friendly, customer-focused counter services in Stayner, Ontario. The role involves handling postal products, processing mail, providing forms and information, and resolving delivery issues on a timely basis.

The ideal candidate is English-speaking, physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb, and able to work temporary, on-call shifts. Applicants residing in Stayner are preferred and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
• Experience interacting with the public in a retail/service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work.
