Qualifications

  • Bilingual in French and English is a must.

Job description

Offering a work environment that values integrity and respect for people, this company is looking for the ideal candidate for a portfolio manager position in commercial property and casualty insurance to join a dynamic team. Their offices are located in Montreal, near the Pie-IX metro station.

Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve your sales goals by conducting frequent presentations, calls, and sales meetings with prospects.
  2. Create sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that creatively and effectively meet prospect needs and communicate the business value of internal services and offerings.
  3. Meet with clients, prepare comparison books for presentation including insurance statements, policy particulars, and lists of insurance not in force.
  4. Involve account managers from the beginning, maintain communication to ensure customer satisfaction and meet commitments and expectations.
  5. Maintain client files collaboratively with the account manager.
  6. Follow up on insurer requests to customers.
  7. Research and analyze relevant markets to identify potential relationships, target new accounts, and explore expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  8. Maintain good relationships with clients to introduce and sell new products, facilitate market penetration, and explore cross-border sales opportunities. Ensure smooth transition and introduction of new portfolio managers to clients.
  9. Participate in professional, industrial, or regional organizations, attend conferences and events to expand your network, represent the company, and gain industry insights.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualities Sought:
  1. Minimum of five years experience in commercial damage insurance.
  2. License in business damage insurance issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers.
  3. University or college diploma or equivalent work experience.
  4. Bilingual in French and English.
  5. Business development skills.
  6. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook.
  7. Asset: PAA, FPAA, or CRM diploma.
  8. Asset: TAM software proficiency.
