Job summary

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is seeking a Government Relations and Public Affairs intern to support policy analysis and stakeholder engagement from January to December 2027. Based in Toronto, you’ll work with GPA colleagues in Toronto and London to advance strategic priorities and relationships with government officials.

You will gather inputs for initiatives, distill research into concise briefing materials, and monitor changes in policy and regulation that could affect the Fund.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in undergraduate or master’s program.
• Interest in politics and policymaking.
• Curiosity about investment industry, global politics and economic affairs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist GPA team with gathering and analyzing resources for strategic initiatives.
• Prepare presentation materials, memos, and briefing notes for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with asset classes, regions and partners to collect input.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise on impact.
• Support development and coordination of internal and external relationships for the Fund.
• Attend meetings with government stakeholders.
