Job summary

Impact Recruitment is seeking an experienced Policy and Compliance Manager, Human Resources to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, compliance programs, and internal standards within a large organization.

You will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide strategic guidance on legislative compliance, employee relations, and organizational risk while building and mentoring a high‑performing HR team.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience including policy development, compliance, governance, or related fields.
  • Experience leading large, complex organizations and coaching high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, compliance programs, and internal standards that support business objectives and legislative requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team, providing coaching, performance support, and development opportunities.
  • Partner with business leaders to advise on complex HR, compliance, and employee relations matters.
  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure organizational policies and practices remain compliant.
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate policy requirements into business practices and systems.
  • Prepare recommendations and communications to support informed decision-making and organizational alignment.
  • Promote consistent application of policies and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as required.

The Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in human resources, policy development, compliance, governance, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a large, complex organization is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, HR best practices, and organizational compliance.
  • Experience developing, implementing, or improving policies, procedures, and business processes.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with leaders and stakeholders across an organization.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to leverage data to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
  • This position is fully in office, but will require occasional travel, candidates must be able to travel to the United States and Internationally.
Compensation
  • Annual salary range is$135,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
  • Discretionary bonus.
