Reporting to the Executive Director or their designate, the Policy Analyst conducts research, legislative analysis, and policy development to support First Nations in BC in building and sustaining ELCC systems that reflect their needs, priorities, and governance structures. This role develops policy resources, provides strategic policy insights, monitors legislative and policy developments, and supports advocacy and engagement initiatives that strengthen First Nations' capacity for ELCC governance and decision-making. The ideal candidate has experience in policy analysis, research, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong understanding of governance, public policy, and legislative processes affecting First Nations/Indigenous-led ELCC. They are skilled at synthesizing complex policy issues into actionable recommendations and developing clear and accessible policy resources.

This is a hybrid position. The successful candidate will primarily work from their home office, Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, training sessions, or events, including work at the BCACCS Provincial Office.
