Job summary

School District 71 invites applications for a Custodian - PM position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The current pay rate is $28.09 per hour in on-site facilities.

Qualifications include Grade 12 and Building Service Worker certificate with at least one year of custodian experience, plus ability to lift and move heavy objects and work independently or with others.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education supplemented by completion of a Building Service Worker certificate.
• 1 year current experience as a custodian; ability to plan and delegate work.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and carry up to 30lbs, stand/walk and squat for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare custodial work schedules to maintain standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
• Assign tasks to custodial staff and monitor workload distribution.
• Perform cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting and waste disposal; operate hand/power tools.
