New Gold Inc. is hiring a Plumber Journeyman/Pipefitter for the Rainy River site in northwestern Ontario, Canada. The role focuses on maintenance and installation of Site Services infrastructure, aligned with safety and environmental policies.

The position offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to grow within a North American metals producer. The job requires a Journeyman Plumber ticket, a Class G license, and related experience.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber Ticket required.
• Class G Driver's License required.
• HDPE Pipe Fusing Certification an asset.
• Petroleum Mechanic or Helper Certification an asset.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of Site Services mobile equipment and hand tools.
• Work in confined spaces such as in vessels, tanks, and towers.
• Measure, cut, curve, gather and install piping, valves, and fittings.
• Fusing HDPE pipe.
• Be able to use testing equipment to check for leaks.
• Perform QA/QC checks for all work performed.
• Develop procedures as required.
• Perform general duties as assigned.
• Assist other trades within the Site Services Department.

Rainy River

Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.

The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. Position Overview

The role of the Plumber, Pipefitter is to carry out the maintenance on and installation of Site Services Infrastructure. Ensure all activities are carried out in conformance with New Gold's policies and procedures including cultural, safety and environmental.
