Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a Johnson Controls subsidiary, seeks a Plumbing Apprentice to assist Journeyperson plumbers in a large manufacturing environment at our Nisku facility. Reliable transportation is required with a rotating Day Shift 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and weekend coverage.

You will gain hands-on experience with copper and PVC piping, brazing/soldering, and related tasks while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school.
• Ability to work under supervision of Journeyperson plumbers, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills for a diverse environment.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyperson plumbers in installation, maintenance, and repairs for plumbing and heating in a large manufacturing environment.
• Braze/solder copper pipe and work with PVC pipe.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Participate in proper clean-ups to ensure a safe, efficient work environment.
• Adhere to safety policies and Alberta OH&S Act, Regulations and Code.
• Other duties as required.

Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Rotating Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with weekend coverage included as part of the rotation.

ThePlumbing ApprenticewillassisttheJourneypersonPlumber(s) in installation, maintenance, and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Sets prioritiesonwork assignments and hasabilityto meet established deadlines.
