Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership in Nisku, AB, is hiring a Plumbing Apprentice to assist Journeyperson Plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems within a large manufacturing setting.

This role requires registration as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrollment in a recognized trade school, with the ability to work under supervision and as part of a team. 6:00 AM–6:00 PM rotating day shift with weekend coverage; 24/7 availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Registered Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school.
• Ability to work under the supervision of Journeyperson plumbers, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyperson Plumber(s) in installation, maintenance, and repairs in a large manufacturing environment.
• Braze/solder copper pipe as required.
• Work with PVC pipe and related fittings.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Participate in proper clean-ups to maintain a safe work environment.
• Adhere to safety program standards and Alberta OH&S Act, Regulations, and Code.
• Travel to off-site locations may be required.

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Rotating Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with weekend coverage included as part of the rotation.

ThePlumbing ApprenticewillassisttheJourneypersonPlumber(s) in installation, maintenance, and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities
