Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, located at our Nisku facility, seeks a licensed plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing and heating systems for a large manufacturing environment. The role includes reading blueprints, addressing plumbing and HVAC issues, and supporting junior staff.

Overtime and site travel may be required; safety policies must be followed. Candidate should have Red Seal or AIT certification and relevant trade experience; strong attention to detail and ability to work

Qualifications

• Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Licensed Plumber - must have a Red Seal or AIT certified and 500+ hours in blue book.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills in a diverse environment.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Installs plumbing assemblies into HVAC equipment.
• Reviews blueprints and specifications and maintains accurate drawings.
• Tends to plumbing, air, and vacuum issues to keep production running.
• Participates in projects involving plumbing, air conditioning, or gas fitting changes.
• Maintains maintenance programs including cleaning of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning equipment.
• Proposes plan changes to enhance production efficiency.
• Assists in training and supervising junior staff and apprentices.
• Performs plumbing inventory and orders parts as required.
• Reviews coding accuracy of assigned builds.
• Provides technical assistance to facilities and emergency response when needed.
• Sets up and tests finished HVAC equipment for proper performance.
• Keeps accurate maintenance and safety documentation.

Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work on rotating day shift (6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends) and Monday to Thursday Nightshift (6 PM - 5:30 AM).

ThePlumber willbe responsible forthe installation, maintenance and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.This positionwill work using safe work practices with items such as, but not limitedto:air conditioning, humidifiers, gas lines, waterpipesand sewer utilities in and about the facilities, as well asmaintainingand repairing compressed air lines, compressors, and vacuum pumps.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Installs commercial and in-house produced plumbing assemblies into in-process HVAC equipment.

• Reviews blueprints andspecifications;ensures drawings and specifications will function as designed inenvironmentintended for use and maintains drawings to reflect accurately any changes and/or additions that are made.

• Tendstoplumbing, air, and vacuum issues to keep production equipment running.

• Participates in all construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing, air conditioning, or gas fitting changes and/or additions.

• Tends to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs including cleaning for all plumbing,heating, andair conditioning, and air and vacuum related equipment.

• Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance production and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for sanitation facilities.

• Assistin training, directing, and supervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.

• Performs plumbing inventory and orders parts asrequired.

• Reviews coding accuracy of assigned builds.

• Provides technical Assistance/Emergency Response services to existing facilities.

• Set up and tests finished HVAC equipment for proper performance/customer requirements.

• Keeps detailed andaccuratemaintenance reports and safety documentation.

• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.

• Performs all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
