Job summary

ACQBUILT is seeking an experienced plumber to install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems across residential and commercial sites. The role requires reading blueprints, supervising apprentices, and coordinating with teams at various locations in Canada.

You will work 40–50 hours per week and maintain safety and quality standards. Candidates must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and have 5+ years of hands-on plumbing experience.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
  • Schedule personnel, tools and equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Supervise other workers
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
