A leading automation company seeks an Intermediate Controls PLC Programmer for a 6-month contract in Cambridge, ON. You will design, develop, and integrate automation solutions, requiring strong PLC and robot programming skills, as well as travel to client sites for machine setups. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package starting on the 31st day of employment.

Type : 6 month contract + extension / conversion to FTE
Location : Onsite 5x / week in Cambridge, ON
Rate : $35-$45 / hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Controls System PLC Programmer to join a leading automation company. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing automation solutions for programmed machines that have not yet been tested. This involves designing and developing Allen Bradley PLC software programs with the use of Allen Bradley Servo Motion to fit the specific requirements of their client. The candidate will be responsible for integrating their designs into the machines on the shop floor and perform all testing / debugging to ensure the program runs accordingly with no design problems and fulfilment of change order requests by the client. The final phase requires tearing down the machine to be shipped to the customer site, and traveling to the desired location for reconstruction in the US (3 weeks min 5 weeks max). The successful candidate will be required to come into the Cambridge location 5 days per week.
