Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada is seeking an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Specialist to ensure GDLS-C products meet E3 requirements across components, subsystems and vehicles. You will collaborate with designers, prepare assessments and lead E3 testing and documentation.

The role requires a university degree or college diploma, 5+ years in Electrical or Design Engineering, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Electrical Engineering or Design Engineering experience.
• Superior analytical skills to solve technical problems at component, sub-system or system level.
• Superior oral and written communication skills including effective presentations and technical report writing.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Travel ability of 5% Canada and 5% US & International and ability to obtain/maintain a passport.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, develops and may negotiate the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) requirements at component, sub-system and system (e.g. vehicle) level.
• Develops training and guidance documents to support the design teams with EM risk mitigation techniques.
• Reviews, provides feedback and approves suppliers/vendors E3 compliance artifacts.
• Develops test plans, executes internal tests and submits test reports.
• Sets up and employs test equipment and ensures safety protocols.
