adidas NAM Tech is seeking a hands-on Platform & Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate, operate, and optimize AWS infrastructure, deployment platforms, monitoring, and operational processes supporting AI, automation, integrations, and application solutions.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and security teams to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable production systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in DevOps, Platform/Cloud Engineering, or SRE.
  • 3+ years managing AWS production environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade apps and integrations.
  • IaC and CI/CD at scale experience.
  • Production monitoring and reliability engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy.
  • Implement IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Automate deployments, provisioning, releases, and ops tasks.

Platform & Site Reliability Engineer (Dev Ops/ AWS / SRE / Cloud)

The Opportunity

adidas NAM Tech is enhancing an enterprise web application and building AI, automation solutions that supports essential business processes across the NAM market.

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform & SRE Engineer who can provide the cloud, platform, DevOps, reliability, security, deployment, observability, and operational foundation that enables AI, automation, APIs, MCP services, and web enterprise applications to run reliably in production.

In this role, you will collaborate with a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Product Owner, Software Developer, as well as quality engineering, security partners, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Role Purpose

Design, implement, secure, automate, operate, and optimize AWS infrastructure, deployment platforms, monitoring capabilities, and operational processes supporting AI, automation, integration, and application solutions.

DevOps Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Automate deployments, environment provisioning, releases, and operational tasks.
  • Manage container platforms including ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Establish release management standards and deployment governance.
  • Improve deployment reliability, scalability, and recovery processes.
AWS Platform Responsibilities
  • Design and manage AWS environments supporting enterprise applications and AI workloads.
  • Administer VPCs, networking, routing, security groups, DNS, and connectivity patterns.
  • Manage IAM roles, policies, secrets, keys, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Support EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and containerized workloads.
  • Administer RDS PostgreSQL and related database services.
  • Manage S3 storage, lifecycle policies, backups, and archival strategies.
  • Configure Route53, load balancers, and high-availability services.
  • Drive AWS cost optimization and usage visibility.
  • Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness.
Site Reliability Engineering Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain monitoring, observability, alerting, dashboards, and operational metrics.
  • Establish SLIs, SLOs, reliability targets, and operational health indicators.
  • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.
  • Improve system availability, scalability, performance, and resilience.
  • Implement centralized logging, tracing, and telemetry capabilities.
Required Technical Skills
  • Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Linux administration and scripting
  • Monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or OpenTelemetry
  • Incident management and operational support
  • Security, networking, and infrastructure best practices
Preferred Skills
  • AI/ML platform support
  • Azure or multi-cloud knowledge
  • Node.js or Python familiarity
  • MCP-based services and API ecosystems

Required Experience
  • 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • 3+ years managing AWS production environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade applications and integrations.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD at scale.
  • Experience with production monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering.
Success Measures (First 6 Months)
  • All delivered solutions use standardized deployment pipelines.
  • Infrastructure is provisioned through Infrastructure as Code.
  • Production monitoring and alerting are implemented for all critical services.
  • Availability, performance, and operational readiness improve across the solution portfolio.
  • AWS costs are visible and managed proactively.
  • Disaster recovery and backup procedures are documented and validated.
Ideal Candidate Profile

A hands-on platform engineer who combines AWS administration, DevOps automation, Site Reliability Engineering, observability, security, and cloud operations expertise. The candidate should be comfortable partnering with architects, AI engineers, developers, security teams, and operations teams to ensure solutions can move safely from development into reliable production environments.

At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Woodbridge, ON - Canada.

The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $107,000 - $117,000 CAD. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills & competencies, and proficiency for the role.
