Job summary

Acestack in Montreal is seeking a Platform Modernization Engineer to join our Global Enterprise Technology team. You will modernize, secure, and enhance mission-critical information distribution and file transfer platforms, applying Java 17+, Spring Boot, and cloud-native patterns.

You will design and support enterprise apps, REST APIs, and platform services, modernize legacy systems, and collaborate with security, DevOps, and operations to improve resilience, observability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering enterprise applications and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience with modern software architecture and cloud-native systems.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, DevOps practices, and containerization.
• Ability to ensure security, reliability, and observability of platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise apps, REST APIs, and platform services.
• Modernize legacy apps using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Develop integrations between enterprise platforms and internal systems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to POC initiatives.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and work with security teams to improve platform security.
• Improve platform resilience, observability, and performance.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
