Job summary

TekStaff IT Solutions is seeking a Platform Engineer for a 12-month contract in Toronto, Ontario, with a hybrid work arrangement that starts with 2 days on-site and transitions to 4 days on-site.

The role emphasizes DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and release automation, along with hands-on work with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.

A focus on AI-assisted development tools and platform modernization within a regulated enterprise will help drive engineering enablement and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, release automation, and software delivery modernization.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted software development and engineering productivity tools.
• Strong GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions experience, including developer workflows and Copilot adoption is a plus.

TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for a Platform Engineer

Duration : This is a 12 months contract located in Toronto, Ont /Hybrid 2 days moving to 4 days down the road

MUST-HAVE HARD SKILLS

1.) DevOps

• Strong experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, release automation, and software delivery modernization.
• Experience implementing modern engineering practices in large enterprise environments.

2.) AI

• Experience evaluating and adopting AI-assisted software development and engineering productivity tools.
• Understanding of practical AI use cases across the software development lifecycle.

3.) GitHub

• Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, source control management, and developer workflows.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot adoption and engineering enablement is an asset.

NICE-TO-HAVE

• Experience with internal developer platforms, self-service engineering tools, and developer experience initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and modernization initiatives.
• Experience working within large, regulated enterprises or financial services organizations.
