Job summary

Kaseya invites you to join a fast-growing team building the platform backend for the Kaseya Intelligence Platform. As a Platform Backend Engineer, you'll work with Go or Rust to create services that connect workflow execution, identity, event routing, secrets management, and audit infrastructure for multiple engineering teams and AI workloads.

You will focus on correctness, reliability, security, and operational clarity, collaborating across teams to deliver scalable, observable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building production backend services using Go or Rust.
• Experience designing event-driven systems using Kafka with retries and at-least-once delivery.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, or similar controls.
• Experience with cloud KMS or envelope encryption and key-management solutions.
• Experience operating multi-tenant production systems with structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate platform services supporting API access, Kafka-based event routing, workflow execution, identity provisioning, and audit records.
• Design event-driven workflows that convert PSA webhooks, RMM alerts, and platform events into durable execution using Kafka and Temporal.
• Implement a pluggable secrets-management and KMS abstraction across cloud providers.
• Build capability-grant enforcement for customers, workflows, operations, and service-to-service requests.
• Own GitOps-based deployment pipelines for versioned workflow definitions across environments.
• Develop onboarding automation for identity provisioning, compliance configuration, and customer-specific key-management setup.
• Build secure connector services for third-party APIs with scoped access and audit logging.
• Improve platform observability, performance, failure recovery, and incident response.
