About the Position
Full time Utility – this is an entry level position in a large flour milling plant in Port Colborne, Ontario. In order to meet the requirements of this job posting, the applicant will be cross-trained in operational positions to facilitate operational needs.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Training will be provided, and the successful candidate will be able to meet expectations within a reasonable period of time
  • Keeping safety a top priority in everything you do
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format and completed with all required information
  • Monitor, operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment
  • Duties include but are not limited to, material handling and light maintenance
  • Adhering to Safety Rules, GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety protocols is crucial
  • This position also includes general sanitation duties following established GMP’s for our food safety programs
  • Attend and practice all required health & safety and quality & food safety training
  • Must be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditions
  • Shift work, overtime, and weekends will be required
  • The successful candidate must possess good communication skills, the ability to follow directions, and most importantly perform various tasks safely and independently in a production environment.
  • The successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery, including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issues
  • Basic computer skills, numeracy and record accuracy are also necessary to succeed at this role.

Education or Work Experience
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred.
