Airgas in Maitland, Ontario is hiring a Plant Technician to support safe operation and maintenance of plant equipment in a 24/7 production environment. You will monitor instrumentation, contribute to quality, and help ensure smooth shipping operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, and comfort with PPE; you will join a team committed to safety and continuous improvement.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical inclination and hands-on repair capabilities.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (8-8 schedule: 2 weeks of days, 2 weeks of nights) in a 24/7 environment.
• Comfort and ability to work in all weather conditions (extreme cold and heat).
• Full comfort wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate plant equipment and perform preventive maintenance in accordance with established guidelines.
• Restore and maintain machinery throughout the facility, documenting all maintenance performed and maintaining history files.
• Monitor instruments during plant operation to ensure accuracy, maintaining proper logs and operational records.
• Replace chemicals in towers as required by operational procedures.
• Analyze and test products using analytical instruments, including gas chromatographs and detector tubes.
• Load trucks with products for shipping and delivery.
• Participate actively in the Quality Improvement Process.
• Interact with internal and external customers to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
