Job summary

Johnson Electric in Stratford, Ontario, is seeking a Plant Planner to lead plant-wide scheduling, inventory control, and coordination with outside processors. The role ensures safe, efficient operations and compliance with Johnson Electric’s health, safety, quality, and environmental systems.

The ideal candidate will manage forecasts, capacity planning, and real-time inventory processes, while developing monthly, weekly, and daily production plans and maintaining visual scheduling boards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; college education is an asset.
• Experience in materials control is an asset.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in English; strong mathematical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of outside processor activities, including releases, follow-up, and transportation coordination.
• Update outside process inventory records, reports, and visual inventory boards.
• Perform month-end inventory reconciliation with outside processors.
• Develop and maintain real-time inventory control and scheduling processes.
• Prepare forecasting and capacity plans.
