Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a Plant Operator for Day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) in Canada. The role includes manual handling, quality checks on medical waste containers, inventory coordination, and system troubleshooting.

We offer a full-time, non-seasonal position with benefits and vacation leave. The role requires lifting, HP washing equipment operation, and compliance with safety and hazardous materials regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year related experience or training or combination of experience and training, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact.
• Demonstrates communication skills and possesses the ability to complete all tasks within expectations
• Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing.
• Demonstrates knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations

Responsibilities

• Manual handling (hand washing using a high-pressure power hose)

Job Description

The Plant Operator will be working day shift: Monday - Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Manual handling (hand washing using a high-pressure power hose)
• Labor intensive activities handling 45 pounds & operating machinery
• Managing a 10-point quality inspection of emptied medical collectors for re-use
• Managing inventory per manifests for delivery drivers
