Job summary

Terus Construction is seeking Operator Assistants for their Asphalt Plant in Crescent Valley, BC. You will support the highway crew with safe and efficient plant operations, travel to multiple sites, and engage in hands-on maintenance as part of a high-performance, unionized team.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience, is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and willing to grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Driver’s license required; Heavy equipment experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment.
• Basic mechanical ability is an asset.
• Must be able to travel as required.
• Physically able to lift and carry 50 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather.
• Must comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Use of personal protective equipment required.
