Our opportunity: As the premium provider of drinking water and water treatment services for the greater part of a century, Hall's Culligan continues to innovate and expand our business nationwide by offering tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of each customer backed by our superior Culligan service.

As a Plant Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by performing various tasks related to inventory management, bottling, portable exchange tank regeneration and customer service. Our Operators are responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and shipping products while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate for this role will feel comfortable being responsible for inventory management, order fulfillment, and organization of the warehouse.

Why you'll love working here:

  • We offer a full-time, Monday-Friday work schedule (12-9pm PT).
  • You'll receive paid time off (PTO) at a generous accrual rate.
  • We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18-22, depending on experience.
  • You'll be eligible for a full benefits package, including a 401k with company match, following your introductory period.
  • We're a stable and growing family-oriented company who regularly offers career advancement opportunities.
  • We believe in upskilling our employees and promoting from within.
  • You'll have the opportunity to utilize Culligan equipment in your home free of charge!

What you'll do:

Inventory management:

  • Accurately receive, store, and organize inventory.
  • Perform regular counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor operation of the bottling or PE line and ensure quality control (where applicable).
  • Reconcile receiving packing slips.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of trucks.

Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with coworkers to achieve common goals.
  • Effectively communicate and provide support to fellow team members.

Time management:

  • Prioritize tasks and efficiently use time to meet deadlines.

Organization:

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Keep tools and materials properly stored.
  • Follow established procedures for inventory management and storage.

Safety:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment safely and according to guidelines.

Where you'll work:

Culligan Plant Operators spend their time working in a warehouse – this means you'll need to be comfortable working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor spaces where weather conditions may vary. The warehouse may be noisy due to equipment, machinery, and movement of items, and may have varying temperatures that fluctuate depending on the weather. Use of resin in the warehouse may create slick surfaces. This role is highly labor intensive, requiring strong physical stamina to succeed in the role. The physical demands of our warehouse role include regular lifting up to 75lbs, in addition to carrying and moving heavy items. The warehouse rep should feel comfortable with long periods of standing and walking and will be expected to kneel and bend regularly.

Who should apply:

The personal attributes that will set you apart in our hiring process include reliability and accountability – our Operators must consistently show up for shifts on time, complete all tasks as assigned, and demonstrate dependability and trustworthiness. We expect you to practice accountability and take full ownership over your tasks and responsibilities. While our Plant Operators aren't typically working face to face with our customers, we expect them to understand the importance and impact of warehouse operations on customer satisfaction, and handle situations with composure and professionalism. Attention to detail is key in this role as you'll be required to accurately manage inventory and order fulfillment, while also ensuring compliance with all standards and regulations.

Technically speaking, the ideal candidate for this role will be proficient in the use of hand tools, forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack operation, and will be comfortable using basic math to accomplish everyday tasks. The Operator should be proficient in verbal and written communication, and should be flexible to changes in tasks, schedules, and procedures.

  • Forklift certified (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  • If driving a company vehicle at any time, must be 18 years of age (for route trucks 21 years of age or older), and be able to successfully pass and maintain an acceptable driving record check to be insured by the company to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully pass criminal background check and drug screening checks, as well as any ongoing screenings per company requirements.
  • Must remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of performing the duties required of this position.
