What’s a Plant Operator got to do?
This is a roll your sleeves up - hands-on role to support the day-to-day operation of the seed processing and production lines. You will gain experience in receiving, storing, and shipping seed and grain, as well as general facility maintenance in a safe, efficient and result oriented manner.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, has a mechanical aptitude, works well as part of a small team, and takes pride in doing the job right.
Operate, maintain and prepare the seed cleaning facility to receive and process seed in a safe, efficient and result oriented manner.
Adhere to all necessary housekeeping practices required to maintain the facilities in a clean and hygienic condition
Perform minor maintenance repair and/or project-based work to ensure peak operational performance of the production facility.
Adhere to work and safety instructions by taking an active role in contributing to a safety culture and clearly demonstrate the ability to find and implement solutions that help be more efficient and safe.
A genuine effort to work co-operatively, taking personal accountability for creating and supporting a team environment and showing a genuine respect for coworkers and customers to encourage an environment of mutual trust.
Contribute to the development of a food and seed safety culture and adheres to processes and procedures, and directions in relation to food safety and quality management.
Reporting information regarding work required, preventative maintenance issues and completion of Work Order and related documentation.
