Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. in Edmonton is seeking a Plant Manager to lead manufacturing, logistics, quality and service to optimize plant performance. You will drive continuous improvement, lead a team, manage KPIs for cost, safety and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee production capacity, QA programs, and labor relations in a unionized environment, while developing leadership, maintaining safety, and ensuring government and company standards are met.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree with a minimum of 5 years plant or technical production management experience.
• Experience in a food processing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated people management and development capabilities.
• Experience with continuous improvement programs.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage production capacity to meet requirements and optimize yields.
• Foster a safe workplace and ensure compliance with OHS and regulatory standards.
• Oversee QA programs to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develop plant leadership capability and manage performance and guidance.
• Promote collaborative labour relations and manage union issues when needed.
• Oversee deployment of human resources and administer collective bargaining agreement.
