Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions in Shelburne, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and guide Maintenance, Production, and other functions toward operational excellence.

This role requires a strong technical manufacturing background, proven leadership across multiple teams, and the ability to balance competing priorities while delivering measurable business results.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical background in maintenance, engineering, reliability leadership.
• Experience leading multiple functions across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Planning or Supply Chain.
• Experience in Food, Beverage, or High-Speed Packaging manufacturing.
• Experience with highly automated operations and equipment reliability.
• Strong budgeting and KPI management.

Responsibilities

• Leading day-to-day plant operations across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Safety.
• Driving operational performance through safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service excellence.
• Providing technical leadership to maximize equipment reliability and plant uptime.

• Leading, coaching, and developing supervisors and frontline leaders with accountability.
• Managing operating budgets, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Building cross-functional relationships with leadership on the production floor.

What You'll Do

• Leading day-to-day plant operations across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Safety
• Driving operational performance through safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service excellence
• Providing technical leadership to maximize equipment reliability and plant uptime
• Partnering closely with Maintenance leadership to strengthen preventive maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, and long-term asset performance
• Balancing operational priorities to ensure decisions support the overall success of the plant, not just one department
• Leading, coaching, and developing supervisors and frontline leaders while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Managing operating budgets, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business results
• Building strong cross-functional relationships while maintaining a highly visible leadership presence on the production floor

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will bring a unique combination of technical expertise and operational leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong technical background through Maintenance Management, Engineering Management, Reliability Leadership, or a similar technical leadership role
• Demonstrated progression into broader operational leadership with responsibility for multiple functional areas, such as Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Planning, or Supply Chain
• Experience within Food, Beverage, or High-Speed Packaging manufacturing
• Experience leading highly automated manufacturing operations with a strong focus on equipment reliability, operational performance, and continuous improvement
• Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, capital planning, and KPI management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, or a similar operational leadership role
• Experience within a high-speed bottling environment
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline
