Job summary

Hooper Welding Enterprises in Oakville seeks a Plant Manager to lead our Oakville plant, guiding production through the Shop Foreman and owning planning, materials, quality and safety to ensure on-time, code-compliant, on-budget shipments.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, project management, QA/QC and ownership to drive continuous improvement and strong safety performance across the facility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pressure vessel or heavy fabrication, incl. running a shop or plant.
• Strong knowledge of ASME code, WPSs and NDE.
• Proven production scheduling and materials planning.
• Visible, safety-first leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Shop Foreman and Oakville shop team.
• Plan production against people, equipment and schedules; remove bottlenecks.
• Own material control — BOM reviews, receiving, consumables and supplies.
• Coordinate sublet contractors, NDE and inter-shop work.
• Review progress weekly with Project Management and report plant performance.
• Drive a strong safety culture and OHSA compliance.
• Develop your team and lead continuous improvement.

Since 1952, Hooper Welding Enterprises has built custom ASME-coded pressure equipment for the energy, petrochemical, industrial, and nuclear markets. Our nuclear business is growing fast, and quality is at the centre of everything we build.

The Role

We are looking for a Plant Manager to run our Oakville plant. You will lead production through our Shop Foreman and own planning, materials, quality and safety so every job ships on time, to code and on budget.

You will partner closely with engineering, project management, QA/QC and our owners.

What You Will Do

• Lead the Shop Foreman and Oakville shop team.
• Plan production against people, equipment and schedules; remove bottlenecks.
• Own material control — BOM reviews, receiving, consumables and supplies.

What You Bring

Nice to Have
