Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. seeks a Plant Engineer to manage the Vernon and Colton facilities' plant-wide engineering needs, with potential support to other plants.

You will act as the owner's representative on large capital projects, coordinating with utilities, regulators, and internal teams to deliver upgrades on schedule and within budget. You will design facilities, select equipment, review current needs, and ensure compliance with FSP, SQF, GMPs and GDPs, while leading safety initiatives in line

Qualifications

• Required Education: BA/BS Engineering and 5 years related experience or 10 years related experience in bakery plant engineering position.
• Strong engineering and mechanical aptitude coupled with excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Able to read and draw electrical schematics and troubleshoot AB PLC500/PLC5.PanelView/PanelView+ applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as owner's representative on large capital projects at company facilities.
• Coordinate with utilities, licensing, and planning departments during construction.
• Design facility, order equipment, and oversee installation within budget and schedule.
• Review facility equipment needs and recommend upgrades or capital improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Plan (FSP), SQF, GMPs and GDPs; follow OSHA rules.
