Job Summary

Operates and maintains all plant operations equipment including boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems. Performs water treatment analysis and makes adjustments as necessary.

Essential Responsibilities

• Upholds Kaiser Permanente policies and laws. Operates, inspects, repairs, and maintains boilers, motors, pumps, valves, and related equipment. Performs electrical repairs, safety tests, water testing, plumbing, and routine repairs on hospital equipment.
• Completes work assignments such as installing plant equipment, reading blueprints, performing preventative maintenance, and recording data. Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues, performs welding, locksmithing, and maintains logs. Assists in various maintenance tasks, including driving to clinics as needed.

Experience

Basic qualifications include possession of the LA Unlimited Steam Engineers License or equivalent, EPA Rule 608 Universal Certification, and extensive knowledge of plant and HVAC systems.

Education

EPA Rule 608 Universal Certification required; licenses as specified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four years recent experience in plant operations, three years in a hospital setting.
