WHERE IS THE JOB?
Located on southern Vancouver Island, North Cowichan employs 450 staff and is home to just over 31,000 residents. The Municipality sits right between Nanaimo and Victoria, and is a community of communities, so you will have a direct hand in impacting the lives of Chemainus, Crofton, Maple Bay, and South End/University Village. Your office will be in Duncan on the Trans-Canada Highway, meaning an easy commute home in any direction.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
You will focus on the short and long-term planning of water, sanitary, drainage/flood protection, and roads/active transportation infrastructure. You'll support the infrastructure design and construction section, and support the Operations Department with the operation and maintenance of all water, sanitary, drainage/flood protection, and roads/active transportation assets. With your degree in Engineering and your P.Eng. designation, you'll use your expertise to lead the way in:
