Position Summary:

Provides support to the Planning Manager in the coordination of all supply chain functions. Core responsibilities include assisting in the proper coordination of harvest production, distribution, and transportation planning, logistics management including company fleet.

General Duties:
  1. Distribution Planning & Communication
  • Leads all required S&OP requirements from harvest through distribution to ensure proper order execution.
  • Populate the daily sales & production planner.
  • Manages our contracted grower programs anchored in the Central Region
  • Plans and coordinates activities of receiving, shipping, and order assembly teams
  • Assists with Distribution area on overlap days with Planning Manager
  • Receives and verifies sales orders for next day’s requirements, promptly communicating to Harvest, Packaging and Distribution.
  • Openly liaises with Packaging, Distribution and Harvest Departments for order scheduling, including new orders and changes to orders, in a detailed and timely manner
  • Clearly and collaboratively communicates with other departments and farms to ensure order accuracy
  • Coordinates with the Alberta team for production planning, movement of stock between provinces and order accuracy.

2. Sales & Distribution

  • Preparing daily breakdown, allocating customer orders, communicating with the CSR team and coordinating with packaging, harvest, planning, transportation, etc.
  • Assists in the coordination of inbound and outbound activities, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Overseeing all distribution drivers, ensuring compliance standards are met and schedules maintained.
  • Completes customs paperwork for US customers as required.
  • Assembles paperwork packages for drivers and updates driver logbook spreadsheets
  • Verifies and monitors driver trip sheets for compliance, completeness and accuracy
  1. Order Desk Activities
  • Occasionally contacts customers to confirm daily orders, assisting in addressing customer concerns and issues both internally and externally
  • Works with the CSR team to ensure timely communication to customers and business stakeholders regarding shorts, delays and errors

4. Leadership & Code of Conduct

5. Safety

  • Adheres to Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
  • Reports unsafe conditions immediately to Direct report or member of the safety team
  • Reports all incidents, injuries or near misses immediately to Direct report or Safety Advocate
  • Cooperates in the Early & Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation
Qualifications:
  1. Education & Past Experiences:

A combination of professional experiences or equivalent combined education, designation and work experience will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in business, supply chain or similar field is an asset
  • Advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset

Hours of Work:
  • Sundays to Thursdays, Sundays & Mondays: 6:00am-3:00pm; Tuesdays to Thursdays: 9:00am-6:00pm
  • Public Holidays / Weekends as scheduled
  • Daily shift end times vary based on production needs
Earnings:
  • $75,000-$95,000 Annually
