Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. in Manitoba is seeking a Planner, Projects to support major mine development at the Lynn Lake site. You will develop and monitor project schedules, forecast progress, and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure schedule integrity.

Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, you will help drive on‑time completion and informed decision‑making. The role requires a degree or diploma in a related field, strong experience with Primavera P6, and proficiency in

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in construction, engineering, commerce, or related discipline.
• Experience in mining, heavy industrial construction, or large-scale project environments is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling and project management systems.
• PMP certification is considered an asset.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Reporting: Produce weekly schedule change reports by area, contractor, and overall project performance.
• Schedule Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze variances from planned schedules, develop forecasts, and support adherence to project timelines.
• Progress Monitoring: Prepare monthly progress reports, schedule updates, and performance forecasts for project reporting requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Obtain and evaluate scheduling and forecast information from contractors, consultants, and suppliers to support project controls activities.
• Project Controls Support: Verify contractor progress measurements, review progress claims when required, and assist with maintaining the Primavera P6 master project schedule.
• Team Collaboration: Support the Project Management Team with additional planning and project control activities as needed.

Role Overview

As Planner, Projects, you will play a key role in supporting successful project execution through schedule development, monitoring, forecasting, and analysis. Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, you will work closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure schedule accuracy and timely reporting. Your contributions will help drive project performance, maintain schedule integrity, and support effective decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Bring To The Table

• Degree or diploma in construction, engineering, commerce, or a related discipline is considered an asset; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience in mining, heavy industrial construction, or large‑scale project environments is considered an asset.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling and project management systems.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently while effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, vendors, and leadership at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work on site rotations as required.

Working Conditions

• Site‑based position operating on a 15 days on / 13 days off rotation.
• Periodic remote work may be available on a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule, with frequent site visits required.
• Combination of office‑based work and site engagement within a project environment.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of sitting and computer use.
• Ability to work in a construction and mining project environment and conduct site visits as required.

Salary Range: $87,750 - 147, 250 CAD

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
