Job summary

Compass Geomatics Ltd. is seeking a Plan Checker to provide quality control on plans from the drafting team and ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will verify field notes, perform closures and math checks, and review Land Titles materials. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and 2–5 years of Oil & Gas plan experience or related technical education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. Technical school education and previous experience an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, reliable, sound judgment, and computer knowledge.
• 2–5 years of experience with various Oil & Gas related plans is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of current industry plan standards.

Responsibilities

Position Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Plan Checker’s role is to provide quality control on plans received from the production draftspersons. The Plan Checker must ensure plans meet client requirements as well as various industry standards (provincial regulations, Land Titles, Manual of Standard Practice).
