Job summary

Bilinguallink in Surrey, BC is seeking a draftsperson to draft quality plans efficiently, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards, including provincial regulations and land-title considerations.

Reporting to the production manager, you will review field notes for completeness, ensure plan standards, complete closures and mathematical checks, and review public land standing reports and titles from the land titles office.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of drafting experience with AutoCAD Map.
• Knowledge of current plan and industry standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail.

Position Description

Reporting to the production manager the draftsperson’s role is to draft quality plans in a time-efficient manner. The draftsperson must ensure the plans meet the client requirements as well as various industry standards. (Provincial regulations, Land Titles, Manual of standard practice)

• Review Field notes for completeness and accuracy
• Ensure plan standards as per industry standards and client requirements are met
• Complete closures and mathematical checks
• Review public land standing reports and titles from the land titles office

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required. Technical school education and previous experience and asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, reliable, sound judgment skills.
• 2-5 years of experience drafting with AutoCad Map and preparing various oil and gas-related plans is considered an asset.
