Job description

Position Overview

The Pipelayer Helper, reporting to the Pipelayer, is responsible for providing physical labor support during all phases of construction and production.

How You’ll Add Value
  1. Actively contribute to a safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  2. Shovel around live utilities to expose them without causing damage, preventing service disruptions, and maintaining safety.
  3. Signal equipment operators for proper alignment and movement of materials for efficient installation.
  4. Remove large rocks and debris to maintain a hazard-free worksite.
  5. Load, unload, and move construction materials to support workflow.
  6. Spread gravel and other materials to prepare surfaces for concrete structures.
  7. Shovel test holes, locate markers, and mark exposed pipes to ensure proper identification.
  8. Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as required for excavation and compaction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Physically able to safely lift and carry 40 lbs regularly.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract (no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions).
