Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a Pipelayer with 2-3 years of field experience to lay pipe for storm sewers, water mains and related structures. You will work in a fast-paced team, maintain a clean work area and assist with tying into existing systems.
Candidates must have access to a reliable vehicle and be able to follow safety procedures, use pipe lasers and operate common trenching equipment.

Overview:Pipelayers lay pipe for storm or sanitary sewers, drains and water mains. They cover pipe with earth or other materials, cut pipes to required lengths and help align and position pipe for welding and sealing. They also dig trenches to the desired depths. This individual is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks/responsibilities efficiently and effectively. They will meet quality standards and production targets set by the organization. They will follow established procedures, guidelines, and best practices. It is important that they maintain open and constructive communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Finally, they will show punctuality and reliability in fulfilling work obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities:The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $32.00 and $40.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
