Position Overview

At Aecon, people are at the heart of everything we do. Our Calgary Construction Operations group is looking for Pipelayers to support our 2025 Road Construction Underground Crew located in Calgary, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipelayer is required to assemble, connect and construct underground pipe systems for sewers, watermains and drains.
• Align pipes to prepare for welding, cementing or gluing, ensuring accuracy with levels and lasers.
• Work in trenches to ensure the ground is prepped and ready for activities.
• Work collaboratively with the crew.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Previous experience as a pipelayer in a roadway construction environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and the public.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
• Own vehicle to commute to the jobsite.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing.
