Job description

Pipefitter, Welder, Tower Mechanic II - Edmonton

Koch-Glitsch, an affiliate of Koch Industries, Inc., is a global leader in designing and manufacturing mass transfer and mist elimination products for various industries. We provide high-quality services including vessel repairs, revamps, and replacements across gas plants and refineries.

Responsibilities
  • Work in gas plant and refinery environments.
  • Perform tasks at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Operate cranes and rigging, handle parts and materials.
  • Install trays, packing, grid, feed pipe, distributors, and internals.
Qualifications
  • Safety-first attitude with willingness to learn.
  • Minimum one year of oil and gas industry experience.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and complete safety paperwork.
  • Positive attitude, team player, able to follow directions.
  • Certifications: OSSA Confined Space Entry & Monitoring, H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, CSTS 20, First Aid (Level A or C), WHMIS, Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience installing mass transfer equipment.
  • Industrial or commercial construction experience.
  • Apprentice or journeyman certificate in pipefitting or welding.
  • Experience with pressure vessels and blueprints.
  • Additional tickets and safety certifications are assets.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Wear respiratory and protective gear.
  • Meet all safety and project entry requirements.
  • Willing to work shifts, travel, and be away for extended periods.
