FWS Group of Companies in Edmonton is seeking Pipefitter/Plumber to join our collaborative, team-focused organization. You will support the department and Superintendent by installing and maintaining piping systems.

This role requires experience in pipefitting, safe equipment operation, rigging and scaffold erection, and the ability to read blueprints and perform measurements. We offer RRSPs, benefits, professional training, and a 14/7 rotation with extended time away from home.

Qualifications

• Experience in pipefitting or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• HDPE Fusion ticket would be an asset.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Demonstrate knowledge of measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending pipes.

Responsabilités

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, or fuel.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies.
• Establish control points with accuracy.
• Transfer levels over large distances with accuracy.
• Work on threaded PVC, CPVC, HDPE, PFA, PEX, and Victaulic piping systems.

As our Pipefitter/Plumber, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview:

• Responsible for safe and conscientious use of equipment including forklift, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Proficient in safe methods of hoisting, rigging, and scaffold erection.
• Proficient in material take-offs.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
• Establishing control points with accuracy.
• Able to transfer levels over large distances with accuracy
• Working on threaded PVC, CPVC HDPE, PFA, PEX and Victaulic piping systems

Qualifications Needed:

• Appropriate level of experience in pipefitting or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• HDPE Fusion ticket would be an asset.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Experience with compressed air piping and process hot/cold water piping systems.
• Experience with PVC/HDPE and stainless-steel piping.
• Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction an asset.
• Valid Zoom Boom ticket is considered an asset.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing may be required.
