Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Position Type: Temporary

Wage/Salary Range: $25 – $48/hour (based on experience and certification)

Shift Schedule: Project-based scheduling; Monday to Saturday availability expected

Hours Per Day: 10–12 hours/day

Job Overview: GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Pipefitter to join our Valued Clients team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is a temporary position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. The project involves multi-year oil and gas construction, including both pre-fabrication modules and on-site installation.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan pipe system layouts.
• Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems on prefabricated modules and construction sites.
• Cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using appropriate tools and methods.
• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and functionality.
• Adhere to all site-specific safety procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to maintain productivity and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in pipefitting or industrial construction.
• Knowledge of piping systems, isometric drawings, and blueprint reading.
• Valid safety certifications including CSTS, H2S Alive, and WHMIS.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of field construction protocols.
• Physically capable of working in demanding field conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Alberta Journeyman Pipefitter Certification or Red Seal equivalent.
• Prior experience in modular prefabrication and oil and gas construction projects.
• Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry certifications.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor construction environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Work involves climbing, lifting, and prolonged periods of standing.
• Use of hand and power tools required; appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
