Pipefitter - Journeyperson / Apprentice - Cargill

Job Description

Jardeg is recruiting for Pipefitters (Foreperson, Journeyperson, Apprentice) for upcoming work at Woodland Constructors Ltd. to build the new Cargill Canola Processing Plant in Regina, SK.

Responsibilities of a Journeyperson Pipefitter

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
• Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machinery.
• Select the type and size of pipe required.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools.
• Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system.
• Experience with HDPE Fusion (NPS 4”-20”) with fusion tickets and/or Vic Roll Grooving (NPS 4”-24”).
• Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
• Test systems for leaks using testing equipment.
• Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings, flush systems, and replace worn components.
• Work with power tools and heavy equipment.

Requirements

• CSTS 2020 or SCOT certification.
• WHMIS 2015 certification.
• Fall Protection (OSSA preferred).
• Confined Space training (OSSA preferred).
• Elevated Work Platform training (OSSA preferred).
• Journeyperson Certificate or registered Apprentice status.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Satisfactory completion of Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.

Accommodations: LOA - $165 per day worked (must be over 100 km radius)

Travel Allowance: $30 per day worked (for those 55 km up to 100 km radius)
