Job summary

Activate Games in Winnipeg is hiring a Picker to join our production team. You will accurately pick and pack components for BOMs, production schedules, and sales orders, using Epicor to access drawings and BOMs.

Collaboration with planning and inventory is essential to meet targets while maintaining safety and organization. The role requires attention to detail, ability to read pick sheets and drawings, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Electronics Technologist diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• High School Diploma with relevant mechanical/electronic assembly experience.
• Familiarity with Tier 1 assemblies at Activate Games is a plus.
• Experience with picking functions at Activate Games is an asset.
• Ability to read pick sheets, BOMs, and drawings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack components for part orders and game room packages.
• Coordinate daily picking operations to meet production targets.
• Prioritize urgent picking requests while maintaining accuracy.
• Adhere to quality control standards and proper material handling.
• Use Epicor to access drawings and BOMs for instructions.
• Collaborate with production planning and inventory to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Picker. A successful applicant will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking components and materials based on bills of materials (BOMs), production schedules , quality standards and sales orders.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication, team work and time management skills, along with a focus on maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is a full-time, permanent position. This is an internal opportunity open only to current Activate employees.

The Duties And Responsibilities

Parts Picking and Assembly

• Pick and pack components for part orders and game room packages
• Coordinate daily picking operations to meet production targets
• Prioritize and complete urgent and priority picking requests while maintaining accuracy
• Ensuring adherence to quality control standards and proper handling of materials
• Use Epicor to access drawings and BOMs for proper picking instructions
• Collaborating with production planning and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

Fabrication & Assembly

• Use various hand and power tools to complete minor game component assemblies based on part drawings and assembly guides
• Assist with assembly and repair tasks as required to support production needs

The Qualifications

• Electronics Technologist diploma or equivalent experience preferred
• High School Diploma relevant experience in mechanical and/or electronic assembly
• Competency in applicable Tier 1 assemblies at Activate Games
• Experience in picking function at Activate Games is an asset
• Comfortable in using Epicor
• Able to read and understand pick sheets, BOMs, and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
