Job Description

Sinai Health is seeking a Physiotherapist to support our Rehabilitation Department at Mount Sinai Hospital. The role involves primarily clinical duties, including consults for patients in the ED who have not been admitted, as well as inpatients admitted to the Emergency Department. Shifts are scheduled in the evening (approximately 4pm-8pm or 6pm-10pm), on weekends (approximately 10am-6pm), or holidays, with potential for weekday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and provide therapeutic interventions for an assigned patient caseload according to physiotherapy scope of practice.
• Document physiotherapy activities appropriately.
• Record workload measurements.
• Supervise Physiotherapy Assistants as per college guidelines.
• Participate in inter-professional clinics, rounds, and discussions.
• Contribute to teaching students from other disciplines.
• Mentor colleagues when appropriate.
• Assist with other departmental responsibilities as required.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

• Current registration and active membership/license with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
• Experience in interdisciplinary education.

Preferred:

• One year of recent experience in patient treatment.
• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

• Excellent clinical skills across various diagnostic groups, including geriatric populations.
• Decision-making skills and experience in advancing best practices and innovative care models.
• Ability to learn reflectively and adapt to change.
