Job Description

In this role of Physiotherapy, you will provide community visits to assess abilities and needs of individuals while working with multidisciplinary teams and equipment vendors to facilitate function. Client groups receiving treatment may include adults with medical/health concerns.

What You’ll Do
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of healthcare workers and other community resources
  • Analyze physical, cultural, social, and institutional environmental impacts on occupational performance and engagement issues
  • Develop client-centered plans with clients and inter-professional teams, and adjust services to reflect a client-centered approach considering physical, social, cultural, institutional, and economic environments
  • Demonstrate effective and evidence-based problem solving and judgment to address client needs
  • Engage clients using a collaborative approach, building rapport and trust, achieving mutual understanding and agreement regarding services
  • Maintain knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide safe, efficient, and effective services by staying updated on practice setting changes
  • Maintain professional client records in compliance with ParaMed’s policies and standards set by the regulatory body or Occupational Therapy college
What You Bring
  • Registration with the provincial College of Physiotherapy (in good standing)
  • Accepting New Graduates Licensed
  • ADP authorization considered an asset
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of applicable community resources for clients and families
  • Current certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid and CPR
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
