Job summary

Alignerr Corp. seeks a Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) to design challenging physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more for AI training.

You will develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions and evaluate AI-generated explanations for accuracy and coherence, collaborating with researchers to build benchmarks from undergraduate to Masters level physics.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing or have completed a Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or closely related field.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving across advanced physics domains.
• Excellent written communication of complex ideas.

About The Role

• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

• Design challenging, well-structured physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
• Develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate clear and accurate reasoning
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical coherence, and quality of explanation
• Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps AI models improve their scientific reasoning

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
• Strong problem-solving skills across multiple advanced physics domains
• Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in writing
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to scientific accuracy
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, content evaluation, or quality assessment workflows
• Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
• Background in physics education, tutoring, or academic writing
